Project Plus students from Clark, Edgar Road and Steger
along with Gifted Fine Arts students from Hixson attended a performance
by the Dance Theater of Harlem at the Touhill Performing Arts Center at UMSL.
This performance was noted as the dance company’s celebrated resurgence
after a ten year hiatus. This field trip experience was selected to extend the Express Yourself theme.
The following week of the performance,
students participated in an Elements of Dance workshop facilitated
by Stacy West of MADCO dance company at Clark Elementary.
